CJ Chujor, Founder and Executive Director of CanStayFit

My Story

As a new dad, I have found it unbelievably difficult to find the time and motivation to maintain a healthy lifestyle. As much as I love being in shape and helping people meet their fitness goals, between fatherhood, a full time career in community development, and running a health/fitness business; I needed a change.I started looking around for information on fun new workouts and diets that I can try, and just couldn’t find a website that had all the information that I wanted.  As busy as I already am, I figured that this would be a great opportunity to create this platform that lets me share the amazing health and fitness advice from all of the great fitness professionals that are in my network. Also, this is a way for me to document my journey (successes and struggles) with my personal health and fitness. Hopefully, this will motivate others to keep pushing towards their fitness goals; or at least let people know that its ok to struggle sometimes. In short, this is my journey to fitness success that I’d like to share with the world.

A Word from the Executive Director

Having grown up in a marginalized community, I know how important it is to have access to diverse and affordable health and fitness resources. My goal in creating this organization is to help support individuals and families from the BIPOC, senior, and newcomer communities by giving them access to options that can help them maintain healthy lifestyles.

I have worked in community development for 10 years, supporting marginalized individuals and families. I also know some excellent health and fitness professionals who are from these communities and I am grateful for the opportunity to use my organization to shine a light on the great work that they do and the initiatives that are important to them.
